Vivo V60 5G Review
6 months ago, the previous version, Vivo V50, was launched. And 6 months later, it's Vivo V60. If you compare the upgrades with the Vivo V50, then there are upgrades in every aspect. Their DNA is still the same, like design, display, camera, etc, but somewhere, they're moving.
I believe that Vivo makes the right decisions. I can see it from their market share. Today, we're going to talk about the Vivo V60. You'll learn everything about the phone by the end of this blog post. Who should buy the Vivo V60 & who shouldn't.
Camera-oriented device
Blackbox Vivo V60 5G is co-engineered with ZEISS. We've seen in the last 2-3 generations that ZEISS has been tuned in the V series. That's evident when you click photos. It's a typical Vivo phone with a nice in-hand feel. We'll talk about the design & the colours too. How many of you read documentation? Let me know in the comments.

Vivo V60 5G in box accessories
The box contained a USB-C to Type-C charging cable. It has a 90 Watt flash charge support. And then you have. The humble SIM card tool. It is a nice-looking phone with a lightweight design. The camera module is a bit protruding. It comes in three colour options. The auspicious gold, the blue, and another shade of grey.
The auspicious gold and the blue come with a glass back. While the grey colour option. It is available in polycarbonate. The colour and the back of the phone. Looks very satisfying. Although it weighs 201.6g. It doesn't look that heavy. But it is definitely not light. The phone comes with the Diamond Shield glass protection.
Design
Actually, I liked the camera module very much. It looks pretty nice. There are boards and buttons, there's a SIM card tray, a microphone USB Type-C again microphone, a speaker grill and a noise-cancelling microphone and an IR blaster.
It comes with a dual nano SIM card slot. The screen-to-body ratio of this phone is amazing. According to me, it looks like a micro quad curved display. But it's a 6.77'' FHD+ plus display that supports HDR10+. You can watch HDR10 content on Netflix, YouTube & other platforms. The audio quality is good due to the stereo speakers. So you're going to enjoy the multimedia.
vivo v60 5G specifications
Let's talk about the specifications. In fact, the phones of the last 3 generations of the V series came with the 7th Generation 3 of Snapdragon.
This one is the 7th Gen 4. Yes, I think the next 1-2 generations can also be on the 7th Gen 4.
I'm not too sure, but it's an upgrade. Its score is close to 1Million. I think if you compare it with the higher variant, it's close to 1 million. So I'd say it's decent. In comparison to the 7th Gen 3, it's definitely 20-25% better.
RAM and Storage variants
It comes in 4 variants. Base 8GB 128GB, 8GB 256GB, 12GB 256GB & 16GB 512GB variants.
Vivo V60 5G Price
Let's talk about the pricing. The phone comes with a Price range of Rs36999 to Rs46,000. Based on what variant you choose.
There's one thing in this price range which I think should not have been there. LPDDR4X RAM Type & UFS 2.2 Storage Type.
But yes, it has a big battery of 6500mAh & 90W charging & comes in an adapter box. So the battery is big. But the 7th Gen 4 looks like a good processor. It's obviously a new processor, and I didn't even notice the throttling.
I played heavy games like Gen 5 on it. Thermals are also within check; it's not hot. The GPU stability score is also above 99%. So I'd say it's a very stable performance. In actual gaming, it's at 60FPS.
But it's a new chipset, so it might unlock at 90-120FPS with an upgrade. But yeah, it works pretty well. We played Genshin Impact for 30 minutes & we got a decent 45-46FPS gameplay.
Now you'll say, if it's above Rs 35K & the 7th Gen 4 has a 1Million Antutu score. So if you ask specifically for the V Series, it's for the offline market. And generally, looks, design & camera are above it. Performance is not the main cause.
We also did a battery test & you'll get a battery life of 9.5-10 hours. So for a normal user, this phone will easily last for 1.5-2 days. Yes, that is what it is.
Features
Now let's talk about the OS. No, there's no Origin OS in this variant. I don't know, there are also rumours that it might not come. But there are going to be a lot of upgrades in Funtouch OS. This is Funtouch OS, which is based on Android 15.
The good thing is, there are 4 years of major updates & 6 for security updates. You get pre-installed apps. You can see the folder here. You get pre-installed apps. You can uninstall apps, disable notifications.
But out of the box, you get all that. You also get AI features. You get Wi-Fi Smart Call Assistant. You watch a lot of videos in different languages & you want captions in your language. One thing I definitely want to say is that it effectively identifies & blocks spam calls.
So that we have seen & I thought I should tell you that. It has its own dialer so you can record calls.
If I talk about connectivity, you get Wi-Fi 6. It supports Bluetooth 5.4. It has 11 5G bands. It has NFC & IR Blaster.
So that is also good. Like if you wanna look Techie. While controlling your electronic devices like the TV and air conditioners with your smartphone. You can do too. But it doesn't support eSIM. You'll have to use two physical SIMs.
It has all the sensors, like It has an in-display fingerprint sensor. It has a face and lock sensor, and I have seen that the in-display fingerprint sensor position is lower than this. But it works well. Face unlock and display fingerprint sensor. All the sensors work well.
The rest of the features include IP68 and IP69 certification. In fact, it has been tested by putting it in water for 1.5 to 2 hours. And it still works. Not that I'm telling you that you should do it, but if you want to do the sum underwater photography for a few minutes. It should work very well. There should not be a problem.
SAR Value
Head SAR
Body-worn SAR
The SAR value is within the limit. There's no notification light, there's no FM radio it has. White wine L1 support. It has USB 2.0 if I compare it with the Vivo V50. It has an upgrade.
Camera and video recording
The main focus of the brand is on the upgrades and improvements of the camera. You get an ultra-wide and a telephoto sensor in the camera. While the V50 has an ultra-wide camera of 50MP, it has an ultra-wide camera of 50MP. It has a 3X telephoto sensor. It has a 50MP primary sensor it has 50MP selfie sensor, and it has a ZEISS partnership, making it visible.
It is a typical Vivo phone if you take 3x or two export rates. You are going to absolutely love it. It has good skin tones and colours. The edge cut out is really good. Sometimes it feels like the photos are unnaturally good.
The photos are so good that it feels like they have done some processing, but yeah. That's what it is. It has 4K30 FPS videography. I think they should have given 4K 60 FPS front and back; you can shoot in 4K with all the sensors. So that's definitely good.
If I talk about the camera app features, it has night mode, portrait mode, photo mode, video mode & micro movie mode. These days, they make short videos.
It has high resolution mode, panorama, ultra HD document, slow motion, time-lapse, and super moon mode. It also has astro mode. It should have clear skies in India. Astro mode will work well if there's less pollution.
It has pro mode, snapshot, and food mode. It's good for food vloggers. It has underwater photography, IP68 & IP69. And a dual view, so you can use both cameras. So it has a lot of features, absolutely no problems. It's a Vivo phone. It has Zeiss filters & biotar. So yeah, that is there. There's also a wedding mode in the micro movie mode.
You can shoot the whole wedding & stitch it together. It's good, it's quite good. In micro movie mode, you get portrait, casual, food, travel, night, and sports.
You get a lot of different modes. It's not bad, you can download the ones made by the people from their stores. So you get a lot of filters as well. I didn't talk much about the telephoto mode.
There's a stage mode, where you can zoom in 10x for concerts. You can properly take photos of the artists by zooming in 10x. But there's a total of 100x support for zooming. Digital & hybrid & everything.
But to show photos at 100x, it's just good. You can take up to 10X.
Portrait Quality description
One good thing about the portraits is that you can take 24-100mm portraits. Generally, portraits are 24mm or 35mm, but they look a little warped. If you take them at 50mm, 75mm or 80mm, then the aspect ratio of the subject looks good.
So that is why it is important. You can make a lot of changes even after taking a photo. It has an AI 4-season portrait mode. So you can do what you want to do in the rainy season, cold season or summer season. It has an AI reflection remover.
You can take mirror selfies. It has an AI magic move. So you can move the subject from one side to the other. It has an AI image expander. You can expand the background or show more of the sky. So in terms of features & camera, it sticks to the DNA & it is there. It has an Aura light in low light, which really helps.
The Vivo V60 comes with the Zeiss Professional portrait camera with a 50 megapixel ZEISS Super Telephoto Camera and a 10X Telephoto Stage Portrait. It comes with the Sony IMX882 sensor. GHS 1.3cm large sensor. It also has optical image stabilisation. So that you can capture distant details with pro-level clarity. Crisp, vivid, flawless, even at extreme range.
It has the pro level of multifocal portrait. Even if you're out with your friends. You are the go-to photographer thanks to the ZEISS style bokeh.
You can be the star of the music festival. No edits, just instant wow. You can skip the cloud and see the stage with just one tap using the 10X telephoto stage portrait.
Even in the landscape mode. This phone has pure focus with zero distraction. With V 60s, telephoto, landscape, portrait. Capture from afar without missing detail. Whether you are in the mountains. Or in a crowded city. Zoom in on what matters. It clicks pictures that are sharp, undisturbed and beautifully framed.
Battery
It has a massive 6500 mAh battery. It is considered the slimmest smartphone under this battery category.
So this is the Vivo V60. In comparison to the Vivo V50, it is definitely an upgrade. But overall, in this price range & we have always said this with the V series. They are in the offline market & a lot of people buy them. The V series T is more value for money. And these are basically for camera, looks & design. And that is what the Vivo V60 is.
if you want you can preorder it from vivo's official website
